Associate Professor Gökhan Zengin, PhD, is the Co-Founder and CTO of Unique
Biotechnology, where he applies more than 20 years of academic experience to the
development of sustainable biotechnological solutions. Through his work on microbial
biosurfactants, he has demonstrated their industrial applicability and led the first patent
applications in the leather industry. As a faculty member in the Department of Leather
Engineering at Ege University, he conducts research on bioprocess technologies,
sustainable materials and environmentally friendly production processes. At Unique
Biotechnology, he leads the technology team, guiding product development from
concept to commercialization and bringing innovative solutions to market.
